Burt’s Pumpkin Farm – Welcome To Burt’s Farm. Come experience the fall season at Burt’s farm in the secluded North Georgia Mountains where the only thing more beautiful than the fall foliage is the sea of orange created by thousands of Burt’s pumpkins. At Burt’s farm we have pumpkins that range from an eye popping 150 lbs. to a modest 1 lb. We grow thousands of pumpkins, so the selection is vast and the quantity is never ending. One of the most fascinating features of Burt’s farm is the impressive selection of every type of pumpkin, winter squash, gourds and fall decoration. Indian corn, cornstalks and hay bales are also in never ending supply at the farm. We also offer hayrides and field trips pulled by our John Deere tractors that take you through a winding trail filled with nature and beauty. Don’t forget to check the “barn” store for Burt’s fresh baked pumpkin pie and pumpkin roll, candied popcorn and a whole assortment of other goodies, also shop for Burt’s Farm wear and other fall decorations. East Towne Cinemas
East Towne Cinemas has a long history in Gilmer County. Opening in the 1980’s, the twin cinema has been a home for family entertainment for more than 20 years. The theater has had only three owners in it’s history, but due to the economic downturn the little cinema was about to be shut down. In 2009, Jeremy and Hannah Towns forming Tinsel Towns, Inc. decided to purchase the theater. Both are movie buffs who watched movies at the theater every Sunday evening with their family and thought that it would be horrible to see an Ellijay landmark close it’s doors.
East Towne Cinemas has now been restored to it’s previous glory. More variety in the concession stand as well as movie selection. Projector and sound equipment has been upgraded. Many things have changed at the theater, but one old fashioned value has remained the same – customer service. East Towne tries to go above and beyond the normal movie experience, offering private VIP rooms, special birthday parties, midnight shows and community involvement.

The Wildlife Sanctuary – Located in Ellijay, Georgia, is a rescue, rehabilitation and release facility for the wild indigenous animals of Georgia, from the smallest mammals and reptiles to the largest carnivores and birds of prey. We are a 30-acre facility that medically cares for all species of injured or orphaned wildlife indigenous to Georgia and the Southeast. It began 30 years ago when a young boy named Craig Cylke began rescuing and caring for injured animals that he found in the wild. It wasn’t long before the surrounding community learned that Craig would take care of any wild animals in need that were brought to him. Today, the sanctuary is a state and federally licensed facility that remains under the guidance of his wife, Debbie, after the sudden passing of Craig “Grizzly” Cylke, the founder.
